Alessandro Dandini de Sylva (b. 1981) is an Italian artist and curator. His work has been exhibited in public and private institutions including the Flowers Gallery in London, the Humble Arts Foundation in New York, the Bund 33 Art Center in Shanghai, the Italian Cultural Institute in Paris and Operativa in Rome. He has been recently awarded with the Shanghai Prize, a art residency program for Italian and Chinese emerging artists, Les Promesses de l'Art, an art residency program for Italian artists in Paris, and the Talent Prize. His first artist book, Paesaggi, is present in relevant public and private collections such as the artist books library at the Tate Library in London and the ICCD Istituto Centrale per il Catalogo e la Documentazione in Rome and has been exhibited in major artist book and photobook exhibitions as Off Print in Paris and London, I Never Read in Basel and Unseen in Amsterdam. From 2011 to 2016 he was curator at the Fotografia International Festival of Rome. Between 2012 and 2016 he curated a series of exhibitions dedicated to experimental photography at the MACRO Contemporary Art Museum of Rome. In 2013 and 2014 he was guest curator at the Pastificio Cerere Foundation in Rome and at the Ermanno Casoli Foundation in Fabriano. Since 2016 he is director at the Malaspina Foundation in Ascoli Piceno and from 2017 curator at the Pescheria Centro Arti Visive Foundation in Pesaro.
